Straight from my TWITTER feed comes the news that Ms. Ri Ri is at it again.

In a previous post Fade to Black and A Lesson In Contrast she showed her design spirit for sneaks with the PUMA FENTY TRAINERS. And later the ever selling out Fenty Creepers (I’d post a purchase link but as of this publishing there’s nowhere to buy them). This time she’s joined forces with French fashion house Dior to design a collection of sunglasses with mega wattage style.

These shades are a total throw back to a time where the sounds of Billy Idol and Blondie ruled the airwaves and new wave and punk set a whole new standard of fashion inspiration. As fashion moments often do, that era changed the way we thought, dressed and behaved. However, no matter what time period we represent sunnies always seem to personify a kind of cool no matter the wearer. That’s just what they do…oh and keep the sun at bay. And these particular specs seem to hold up to the very expectation of the new tone of athleisure, (think sporty but chic) all with just the right amount of sleek and sophistication thrown in for good measure.

According to the article on today’s installment of VanityFair.com Rihanna’s thought process held one of a more futuristic vibe. Her motivation? Star Trek. They make their debut in June. Will you be a lucky consumer? Catch the article here

Wishing you Love and Luxury,

Linda
